Our Story

Our commitment to solving problems has never changed

In 2014, Ampacity’s founding team launched an innovative business model: bringing the first turnkey solar tracker solution to market and delivering world-class support to distributed generation and utility-scale projects across the country. What started as a specialized solar supply chain partner has grown into one of the leading equipment distributors and solutions providers serving the clean energy infrastructure sector.

Over the past decade, Ampacity has delivered results for customers on individual projects and across national portfolios—expanding our capabilities, facilities, and market reach every step of the way. Today, Ampacity is headquartered in Monterey, California, with distribution facilities in Mississippi, Kentucky, and Iowa, and offices in California, Georgia, Florida, and Vermont. Our projects span the United States and Canada, and our product and solutions offerings now extend beyond solar into wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, data centers, and utilities.

The problems we solve have grown more complex, but our commitment to solving them hasn’t changed.
