Ampacity operates and maintains multiple distribution and fulfillment facilities across the United States—purpose-built to deliver best-in-class lead times and stay responsive to the realities of shifting project schedules. Our in-house stocking, kitting, and logistics capabilities give us direct control over material accuracy and delivery sequencing, translating into measurable advantages for our customers: fewer delays, tighter schedules, and more predictable project outcomes.
With deep on-hand inventory spanning solar tracker components, steel piles, and a comprehensive range of electrical goods, we can quote, engineer, kit, and deliver orders with a speed and precision that most suppliers can’t match. And when field delivery methods need to be optimized—whether for a DG project or a utility-scale build—we adapt to simplify logistics and accelerate installation.
Our facilities & inventory
Ampacity's distribution network is built for the demands of clean energy deployment. Our facilities house substantial on-hand inventory across three core product categories:
• Structural & tracker components: Tracker material and associated hardware stocked and kitted at our facilities, ready to ship in project-specific row boxes that map directly to your installation sequence.
• Steel piles: Approximately 10,000 tons of raw long I-beam and 150,000 finished piles stocked across facilities, including a dedicated 40,000-square-foot lot at our Mississippi fulfillment center. Galvanized, punched black, and raw I-beam options are available for both DG and utility-scale applications.
• Electrical goods: A comprehensive range of electrical supply inventory—wire and cable, cable accessories, grounding and bonding, conduit and strut, terminations, and more—anchored by our 300,000-square-foot Des Moines distribution center, featuring a three-to-one wire spooling line and custom cable cutting capabilities.
Kitting & pre-assembly
Kitting is one of Ampacity's most powerful differentiators—and one of the most impactful services we offer our customers. Our proprietary tracker row boxes were designed from the ground up based on lessons learned in the field, moving the risks of material organization away from the jobsite and into a controlled warehouse environment.
By pre-assembling, boxing, and labeling all tracker materials prior to shipment, we reduce field errors, streamline construction schedules, and measurably improve installation efficiency. Our kitting and logistics services provide everything your crew needs, in the order they need it, ready to go the moment it arrives on site.
Design flexibility
We know project designs can evolve, so Ampacity is built to evolve with them. If you're optimizing for cost and schedule, we can deliver a fully kitted solution engineered for the fastest path to market. If you're evaluating module options, our team can quickly assess cost impacts across different design and engineering configurations.
