Kansas Sun Power Program
The Kansas Sun Power Program is a series of 22 solar projects developed by Today’s Power Inc. And designed and supplied by Ampacity to harvest renewable energy for participating electric cooperatives. This 25-year program has attracted the best possible long-term pricing and will result in the construction of more than 20 megawatts of solar power spread out across Kansas. Through this program, 13 different cooperatives are able to increase the production of renewable energy year round and reduce peak demand. The reduction of peak demand will enable each cooperative to provide financial stability to its members while also reducing their carbon footprint.

Lake Herman Solar
The 35-acre Lake Herman project, developed by MCE in partnership with Renewable Properties, supported by Ampacity, and owned by Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company, is the first to be completed through MCE’s Feed-In Tariff (FIT) Plus Program. The FIT Plus program offers project developers incentivized rates for renewable energy development in MCE’s service area. All projects completed through this program are subject to prevailing wage, 50% local hire, and pollinator-friendly solar requirements. The largest renewable energy project in Solano County, Lake Herman Solar provides clean power to 2,800 homes annually.
